2006 Domaine Perrier Apremont Vin De Savoie

Light straw color. Strange, smells like rubber bands/ band aids, with some flowers and minerals. Lighter styled wine with a nice mouth feel. Drank by itself, but would probably do better with food. Think shrimp cocktail. As it sat in the glass it improved. While still strange, I am also still drinking. Original grade was B-. Decent inexpensive summer wine. I paid $9.90.

Grade: B

Mikey,
Love reading your blog, and seeing ideas of new wines to try. I especially appreciate when you include price points, especially since you base your ratings in their relation to price. Thanks and keep it up!!!!!!
Straw huh? How so? Have you ever tasted straw? It's got a honey flavor to it...

Hi Mikey-
Just found your blog doing a search for this wine, which I had a couple of days agao and loved.

I may not have had your Vineyard (still uncovering that mystery--argh!) but thought it had a great light taste, a tad fruity; nice change of pace for this NZ Sauv Blanc drinker. Try another vintner and give this grape/region another chance.
