1995 Domaine Jean Trapet Chapelle Chambertin
At first, closed with muted smells, acids and secondary flavors. After one hour, improved dramatically. Feminine, lighter style. Earth, pine and funky nose. Dirt, soil, truffle, earth and spicy black cherries. Came alive paired with duck confit. Drinking well now. Looses some points for lack of fruit, and fairly short finish (15 seconds). I enjoyed the experience of this wine, and it sparked conversation, but in this category I expected a little more. I paid $80. Jill gives it a B+.Grade: B-
