1993 Clerico Barolo Caibot Mentin Ginsetra

As I'd expect, this fills the room with the smell of white truffles. At the start, it is a tannic, closed beast. There's something strange, and off in the palate like burnt rubber. Slowly it goes away and in its place is a lovely wine. Now, after being opened for 2 hours, it is a treat. There's roses, tar and funky, dirty earth. Excellent, long finish. It's rocking now, and will only improve in the cellar. I have one more bottle and will try to keep my hands off for a few years. I know this is a very expensive wine, but its great, and worth finding. Retail $120, Grade: A.
