Henri Boillot is an outstanding producer, especially in his sub-$100 category. This could fool most people for a grand cru, and tastes like a $200+ bottle. Even considering the success of the 2005 vintage, this is a great wine, and serves as a reminder why burgundy is my favorite wine region. Outrageous aromas of damp earth, fresh mushrooms, and pine make my 5 months pregnant wife take a very small sip. Its deceptive. It is so easy to drink, but with layers of flavor and a great depth. There's some bitter chocolate, raspberries, fresh flowers, great minerality and a silky feel. The finish sails on. More than a minute after my wife's sip she could still taste it. Even though it is much too young (try in 5 more years) I am loving it. Retail $80, grade: A.

OK so you don't have to wait that long. It is still absurdly great.
