1997 Solaia

Absolutely perfect. Deep, dark, and very young. Smells like a great bordeaux, with cider cigar box, green peppers, and some old books. Magnificent on the palate. Huge full body and perfect plummy, menthol balance. More than a 1 minute finish. Still very young, singular, and glorious. I guessed '94 Shafer hillside select or Chateau Latour. Open 12 hour ago, and still tight. Will have a very long life. Thanks Gary! Retail $300, grade: A+.
