Awesome wine, especially in the context of the normally thinner and under-ripe vintage. If you are going to drink this now, open, pour out a sip or two, and let it breath for an hour. At first it was sharp, rough, and singing its song out of tune. Then it turns so charming and harmonious, with a world of fascinating flavor. It smells so unique. Makes me think of an auto shop. Yet, I want to know more, and to taste it. There's an industrial element too on the palate, with flavors of steel, coal, and iron, wrapped in a just ripe plum. Impeccable balance and a savage, wild side. Very long finish. Bernard Dugat has been practicing biodynamic farming since 2004. It shows in the wild side of this fascinating wine. I got a deal on this for $39. Looking at retail is depressing; no one is selling it under $112. The lesson here is to try some wine from Dugat-Py. Grade: A.

Drinking this right now. Going to leave it for the hour you suggested and see what happens. The nose is pungent but more horse farm than auto shop to me.
I'm excited to see what it will turn into ....
