2005 Saxum Booker Vineyard

Fantastic American style syrah (with a little grenache). Sign up for their mailing list, and you will not be sorry. Luxurious velvety purple. Room-filling aromas of spicy crushed, black pepper covered blackberry. Monsterous, mantastic palate of crushed syrup flowers. Absolutly gigantic finish. Wow. High alcohol at 15.9%, and I get a hint of it in the back of the finish. This would be a great crowd pleaser, and I wish I had more of it. I paid $55 from their mailing list. The best retail price is $79. Grade: A.
