2006 Kistler Point Noir Sonoma Coast

Dark, chewy, jammy pinot. This is drinking better now than the 06 Kistler Vineyards pinot. Aromas of blackberry jam and pure dark fruits. The full, rich and oaky on the palate. It is quite sweet, with some cherry coke, but it is sure to please a crowd. It is tasty, but at this price I am expecting some more complexity. Given my track record with these wines, I'd recommend giving this a few more years of cellar time. Retail $100, grade: B+.
