2000 Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses

Pale golden. Incredibly complex aromas of iodine, lobster, under-ripe peach and slate. Dense saline and oyster shell on the palate. Very long, briny finish. Fascinating wine. Its got harmony, an incredible sense of a delicious place, and perfect balance. I don't drink nearly enough Chablis. Unfortunately, the best retail price is $195. I paid much less at auction. Grade: A.

Did you really get iodine on your own or was it only after seeing tanzer`s review?
