2006 Anthill Farms Pinot Noir Comptche Ridge

Lighter ruby. A whole world of aroma, as I've come to expect from this producer. Delicious spice. Silky delicate body, but do not be fooled by the light color and elegence, there's a dense core of perfectly detailed pinot fruit. Some pine, damp woodchips, and pepper laced cherry juice. The cool climate makes it much more burgundian. Long, stingingly good finish. Open an hour before drinking, or decant. Delicious, complex, and easy to drink. Retail $45, grade: A.
