It's been a lot of fun drinking this wine over the past few hours. It has gone through several personalities. At first, Jill says silky. I say nebbiolo reduction. Drinking great now, unlike most barolo at age 6, more a function of the ripe vintage than the producer. Really expands through the palate with roses and bitter chocloate. After an hour: Jill says a little flabby with some bacon fat. I say fascinating, huge, and now its got the truffle. Jill says not my style but good value. I can't remember a better bottle at this price in a restaurant. We paid $58 from Belisio's in Duluth, MN. Lowest retail in the country $80. We are grading on the price we paid. Jill: B. me: A.
