2002 Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1st Cru Combe Aux Moines

At first it smelled of dried leaves and showed a hard astringency. Now that it has been opened an hour its blossomed. There's an anise, morel mushroom, a sleek mouth feel, and a fascinating, long finish. It is fickle and serious(ly good). And, it is not quite ready! Age it a few more years. Not available at retail. I've had it a few years. I paid $60. Grade: A.
